Toasted Nights at Midtown

This June, Midtown Bar & Dining is leaning into winter with Toasted Nights;  a limited-edition menu celebrating golden toasted jaffles, rich house-made soups and comforting late-night dining in Fish Lane.

Available throughout the month, the menu ranges from gooey three-cheese jaffles and slow-braised beef brisket to local spanner crab mornay and a warm Nutella custard dessert jaffle.

Guests can drop in for a single jaffle and cocktail at the bar or settle in for the full Toasted Nights Tasting Menu. A four-course paired experience designed for long winter nights and good company.

The tasting menu is available for groups of 2, 4, 6 or 8 guests, making it perfect for date nights, pre-show dinners, group catch-ups and winter celebrations.

Located just moments from QPAC, Toasted Nights is ideal for pre-show dining, post-show drinks or casual winter catch-ups in South Brisbane.

Comté, mozzarella and aged cheddar toasted until golden and served with roasted tomato and basil soup for dipping.

Local Spanner Crab Mornay | $26
Local spanner crab folded through Gruyère béchamel and toasted crisp, served with warm shellfish bisque.

Slow-Braised Beef Brisket | $26
Slow-braised beef brisket with melted Jack cheese and caramelised onion gravy.

Nutella Bread & Butter Custard Jaffle|  $14
Golden raisin bread filled with warm Nutella, vanilla custard and hazelnut praline.

Local Spanner Crab Mornay
Paired with NV Bouchard Aîné & Fils ‘Collection’ Rosé, Languedoc France
Dry and delicate with soft strawberry and citrus notes.

Slow-Braised Beef Brisket
Paired with 2024 Aquilani Sangiovese, Italy
Organic Sangiovese with bright cherry fruit, savoury spice and soft tannins.

Nutella Bread & Butter Custard Jaffle
Paired with an ice-cold choc mint martini;  rich, silky and indulgent.
